Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
When you use Life Leveling, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — information such as your name, email address, and account identifiers when you create an account or sign in using Apple, Google, or email-based authentication.
- Habit and app activity — habits, completions, streaks, levels, achievements, duo activity, replies, reminders, settings, and in-app interactions.
- Photos and other user content — proof photos, avatars, comments, replies, and other content you voluntarily submit in the app.
- Device and diagnostics information — device type, operating system, app version, push notification token, and technical information used for app functionality, troubleshooting, and analytics.
- Purchase information — subscription status, entitlement information, and purchase-related identifiers needed to manage Pro access.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Life Leveling service.
- Enable habit tracking, levels, achievements, reminders, duo features, and timeline interactions.
- Analyze submitted proof photos to determine whether they match the selected habit.
- Send you notifications about your habits, duo activity, replies, and other account events.
- Measure usage, diagnose issues, improve features, and understand how people use the app.
- Respond to support requests and account issues.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Limited sharing occurs only in these circumstances:
- Supabase — our backend infrastructure provider stores account data, habit data, and uploaded files to operate the service.
- Google Gemini— if you use the AI Habit Verifier, submitted proof photos and limited habit context are sent to Google's Gemini API so the app can assess whether the photo matches the habit.
- PostHog — we use analytics tools to understand feature usage, app behavior, and product performance. This may include event data and session replay-style diagnostics.
- RevenueCat and Apple — subscription and purchase-related information is used to manage billing, entitlements, and restore purchases.
- Notification delivery providers — push notification tokens may be shared with notification services such as Expo and Apple to deliver notifications you enable.
- Your duo partner — certain activity, including habit completion status, proof photos, timeline posts, and replies, may be visible to your linked duo partner.
- Legal obligations — if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the security of the service.
4. AI Habit Verifier
The AI Habit Verifier is an optional feature that helps assess whether a submitted proof photo appears to match a habit. When you use this feature, we send the proof photo and limited habit context to a third-party AI provider for analysis.
The verifier may make mistakes, may reject valid proof, and may approve proof that should have been rejected. You should not rely on it for medical, legal, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You can request account deletion from within the app. When your account is deleted, we delete or de-identify account data and stored user files associated with your account, subject to limited retention for backups, logs, fraud prevention, security, billing, or legal compliance.
6. Children's Privacy
Life Leveling is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access controls, and cloud infrastructure protections. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Processing
Depending on where you use the app and where our service providers operate, your information may be processed in countries other than your own.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the app, by email, or by updating the “Last updated” date above.
